In some cases you might need to create an expiration and use an existing one as a base so not everything has to be typed again. This is useful for example in contracts or licenses.
The copy operation includes the following items:
The expiration category
The expiration date
Copying an expiration from the expiration list
To copy an expiration from the expiration list click on Expirations from the top menu, then click on the drop down menu for the expiration you'd like to use for the copy and select Copy:

For this, go the specific contact, location or equipment screen and from the Expiration Items related box, click on the drop down menu for the expiration and then click on Copy.

The copy screen requires what will be the expiration name of the newly created one:
